General Sessions

It is a good idea to pay close attention to your physical features. If you have pale skin you should wear clothing that is lighter in shade. If you have darker skin, then darker colors will appear better in the camera. Likewise, vertical stripes are slimming while horizontal stripes make a person appear wider. As a rule, solid colors appear better in photographs. If you have long hair you will want to bring a comb or hair clip to keep your hair out of your eyes. You should also bring more changes of clothes than you intend to use. We will help you decide which clothes to wear on the backdrops we have or with the scenery in the area. Do not wear spaghetti straps if you do not want your bra to show.

If you are bringing young children you will want them to be well rested and fed prior to the shoot. This will help them to be more relaxed and therefore, photograph better, resulting in more photographs to choose from. If you are planning on having a large family session it is a good idea to have the shoot outdoors. This will usually be more manageable for the photographer and more cost effective for you.
